Pancreatic cancer is not one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers but it is often one of the most difficult to treat. This is in part due to the inability to diagnose the disease before it has reached an advanced stage.

While outcomes for many other cancers have steadily improved, the mortality rate for pancreatic cancer has remained at almost the same level for 40 years. Yet breakthroughs are under-way and new treatment options are available.

Assoc Prof Kindler and Dr Chen are leaders in the field of pancreatic cancer and will discuss the latest developments in the research and treatment of this disease.
